We share the Gospel and truth of Jesus Christ by showing love to others, and there is an incredible need in the international community of Madison. Living in a foreign country is hard! You have to adapt to a different language, culture, behaviors, and way of life. We welcome our international friends with open arms into our safe, encouraging community that we have built over many years. Our first principle is to love them as Christ first loved us. That means building relationships and living life together. We do this through English conversation classes and fun events and activities. We share in celebrating the fun moments together, but we also step in alongside them when life gets challenging.
God calls us to share the Good News to all nations. While many do this by physically traveling around the world, the IFC does this right here from the doorsteps of Madison! We have a population of international scholars and families that come to Madison to study and do research. What a perfect opportunity to spread God's Truth! We truly believe that by reaching out to the university and international community, we are reaching out to the world. Many of our students will go back their respective countries and hold high positions and important jobs. We are influencing the influencers of the world!
The IFC's doors are open to all who want to practice English and experience life in the U.S. We cultivate a safe, comfortable community for our international friends. We do not discriminate based on background or politics. We believe that God's love and truth will overcome our differences and guide us forward as a lamp unto our feet. For many internationals, they have misconceptions of the U.S. and of Christians, and we seize this opportunity to break those falsehoods. We trust in God's hand in growing their faith. For some, we see the fruit of faith and celebrate in growing new believers and disciples. For others, we praise God for being able to plant the seed of truth, and we pray for that seed to be watered throughout their lives.
